J. B. Kelly Insurance Broker Ltd. was founded by Beaumont Kelly on May 15, 1942. From our beginning in Athens we have enjoyed a steady growth over the years. Mr. Kelly retired in 1975, selling the business to Marson Smith. We opened our branch office in Brockville in 1980 and have watched it grow into a busy, productive office. In March 2003, we merged both offices into one big happy office in Brockville. The managing partners are now Marson Smith, Mary Rae Knapp, Pamela Kirkpatrick and Karl Herbison.

Our firm is registered as a licensed insurance broker with the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO). We act in the capacity of an intermediary between the consumer (the buyer of insurance or insured) and the insurer (insurance company accepting the risk).

Specializing in personal property, farm, auto and commercial insurance, we expanded to include financial products in 1999. These products are sold by Larry Holmes who is a representative for Farm Mutual Financial Services (FMFS). He sells life and disability insurance, group insurance, mutual funds and GIC's.

Our office feel the strength of our customer relationships has been built on a foundation of good public relations, ethical practices, excellent staff, unfailing courtesy and a sincere attitude of helpfulness.
